One of the best things I’ve ever done. Being in the land made the Bible come alive and gave me a
perspective I didn’t even realize I was lacking. No amount of study can replace what it’s like to sail on
the Sea of Galilee, to travel from Dan to Beersheba, and to feel the heat in a dry and thirsty land. When I
read the Bible now, I pay closer attention to places, names, and other literary devices I easily missed in
the past that were meaningful to the original hearers of the message. Beyond learning about the ancient
past, I valued the time spent with others in the group and getting to learn first-hand of the complexities
of life in modern-day Israel and Palestine. The sights, smells, tastes, and feeling of the land is unlike any
other.

If you're considering going to Israel, book the trip with Zach McCartney next year! He is an amazing and passionate guide, and made it relevant to us as Christians. Seriously, if you go without Zach, you won't know what you missed out on. After this trip, I will read the Bible with new eyes and better understanding.
